President Emmerson Mnangagwa has issued a stark warning to individuals involved in ritual killings and sexual violence, vowing that they will feel the full and unforgiving force of the law. The President’s declaration comes amid a deeply troubling surge in gruesome crimes that have sent shockwaves throughout the nation, threatening the very fabric of Zimbabwean society. He asserted that such wickedness has no place in a country that holds the sanctity of life in the highest regard.
Speaking from a Zanu PF Politburo meeting in the capital, a visibly moved President did not mince his words. He expressed his profound sorrow over the disturbing incidents that continue to plague communities.
“I am disheartened with the sad and unfortunate cases of criminality often claiming the lives of young people and children, including alleged ritual murders, sexual violence and abuse among others,” the President stated, his voice firm with conviction. “We are a nation where the sanctity of life is honoured, celebrated and preciously safeguarded.”

Emphasising the national character of peace, President Mnangagwa switched to the local Shona language to drive his point home, declaring,
“Tiri nyika ine rugare nerunyararo (We are a country of peace and tranquillity).”
He made it clear that those who seek to shatter this peace will find no refuge within Zimbabwe’s borders.
President Issues Chilling Warning After Rise In Ritual Killings
The President’s urgent call for order is a direct response to a series of horrifying incidents that have left citizens in a state of fear and mourning. The nation is still grappling with the discovery of three young children, whose bodies were found concealed in the boot of an abandoned vehicle in Harare’s Kuwadzana suburb. This atrocity alone has sparked nationwide outrage and demands for justice.
In a separate and equally brutal case, police in Masvingo have launched a massive manhunt for Morgen Gwazira, aged 33. The suspect is alleged to have savagely murdered his 34-year-old wife, Liliosa Gwenhamo, on Monday morning. Authorities report that he struck her with an axe before callously throwing her lifeless body into a bonfire at their matrimonial home.
Meanwhile, in Bindura, the mysterious death of 27-year-old Garikayi Junior Kamwendo is under intense investigation. His remains were discovered in a bushy area in an advanced state of decomposition, mutilated, with his head and private organs missing.

Police Vow to Hunt Down Perpetrators
With all investigations active and ongoing, law enforcement agencies are under significant pressure to apprehend the suspects and bring a sense of security back to terrified communities. The brutal nature of these crimes, particularly the mutilation of victims, points to the dark underworld of ritualistic killings, a practice long condemned but seemingly on the rise.
The police have assured the public that no stone will be left unturned in their pursuit of those responsible for these heinous acts. As the nation waits for answers, the President’s words serve as a chilling promise of retribution for the monsters lurking in the shadows.
