Arrest Warrant Issued for AFM Pastor Facing Serious Allegations

A warrant of arrest targets Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) pastor Chirashanye Magora (53) of Mucheke, Masvingo. He failed to attend routine remand proceedings.

Regional Magistrate Innocent Bepura granted the warrant. The court noted his absence since 8 April 2026.

Earlier, High Court judge Sunsley Zisengwe released him on bail. The conditions required reporting to Chikato Police Station twice weekly.

Serious Allegations Surface

Magora faces serious charges involving a 13-year-old girl. The alleged incidents occurred between December 2025 and February 2026.

According to court papers, he allegedly lured the complainant into his room. He then locked the door and raped her. He threatened to kill her if she disclosed the abuse.

On another occasion, the girl reportedly awoke to find Magora on top of her. Despite her screams, he silenced her and warned her against speaking out.

Case Exposure and Disappearance

The case emerged on 16 February 2026. The complainant fled to Chikato Primary School for help.

She confided in headmaster Stanley Zhonje. He immediately escorted her to the police.

Authorities arrested Magora soon after the report. However, he later failed to follow
