The mission received reports from consulates in Johannesburg and Cape Town. These reports highlight incidents threatening Zimbabweans’ safety and well-being.

Unrest has erupted in some areas, raising serious concern. Moreover, demonstrators reportedly target foreign nationals during protests. As a result, fears of violence and displacement continue to grow.

Safety Measures and Reporting Guidelines

In response, the embassy urges citizens to stay alert at all times. It advises them to avoid protest areas immediately. Furthermore, nationals should remain indoors where possible. They should also limit unnecessary travel until calm returns. The mission encourages citizens to report threats without delay. They must contact the South African Police Service for assistance.

Additionally, they should inform Zimbabwe’s diplomatic offices in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. Citizens must carry identification and travel documents at all times. This ensures quick verification and access to emergency support.
