Bulawayo Gang Hunts Down Man After He Refuses To Reveal His Name
A 46-year-old man was left seriously injured after a group of eight men attacked him in Cowdray Park, Bulawayo.
The gang reportedly turned violent after the man refused to disclose his name during a confrontation at a local tuck-shop.
The incident happened on Monday, 17 August 2026, at around 7pm.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the attack to B-Metro.

Attack Begins At Tuck-Shop
According to police, the victim was walking from his home to a nearby tuck-shop when he encountered the group.
One of the men allegedly demanded to know his name.
The situation quickly escalated when the victim refused to answer.
The suspects then allegedly attacked him, with one of them breaking an empty beer bottle and striking him on the head several times.
The other members of the group allegedly joined in, assaulting him with their fists and open hands.
Victim Takes Refuge In Toilet
The injured man managed to break away from his attackers and ran to a nearby house.
He sought refuge inside a toilet and locked the door behind him.
However, the gang allegedly followed him to the property and forced their way into the toilet using an unidentified object.
They then dragged him outside and resumed the assault.
Police said one of the suspects allegedly pulled out an Okapi knife and stabbed the victim in the left thigh.
He was also struck on the left shoulder with an unknown object.
The attackers then fled, leaving him bleeding on the ground.
Police Launch Hunt For Suspects
The victim sustained cuts to his head and left thigh and complained of widespread body pain.
He subsequently reported the matter to the police.
Authorities are now appealing to residents who may have witnessed the attack or know the suspects to provide information.
Police urged anyone with useful information to report it at their nearest police station.
The identities and whereabouts of the eight suspects remain unknown as investigations continue.
