Dynamos FC have officially ended their relationship with suspended head coach Genesis Mangombe.
The club announced the decision on Monday through a joint statement with the Sports and Recreation National Workers Union of Zimbabwe. The agreement ends weeks of uncertainty surrounding Mangombe and his coaching staff.
Previously, Dynamos suspended Mangombe alongside assistants Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere. The club had accused the quartet of match-fixing, using juju and insubordination.
However, Dynamos has now withdrawn every allegation against the coaches.
In addition, the club lifted their suspensions before both parties agreed to terminate their contracts immediately through mutual consent.
Mangombe Free to Join Triangle United
Following the agreement, Mangombe can now complete his anticipated move to Triangle United. His appointment had stalled while the disciplinary process remained unresolved. Now that the matter has ended, the former Dynamos coach is free to take charge of the Lowveld club.
Furthermore, the statement confirmed that all four coaches can immediately accept new roles at clubs of their choice.
Acioaba Set to Lead Dynamos
Meanwhile, the agreement clears the path for Romanian coach Aristica Acioaba to become Dynamos’ permanent head coach.
The club initially introduced Acioaba as technical director after Mangombe’s suspension. He is now expected to lead the first team full-time.
Dynamos said the separation was reached in good faith.
The club added that “football should remain the ultimate winner” while wishing the departing coaches success in their future endeavours.
