Emotional moment as Jacinta comforts Ngizwe’s wife after house fire (video)

Activist and former radio host Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma offered comfort to Floda Graé on 13 May. She visited after fire destroyed Ngizwe Mchunu’s rural Umbumbulu home in KwaZulu-Natal.

Meanwhile, several public figures supported the Mchunu family during this crisis. These included Bonginkosi Khanyile from uMkhonto weSizwe Party and Zwakele Mncwango from ActionSA KZN. Additionally, Jacinta joined others in showing solidarity and delivering aid.

During the visit, Floda toured the burnt rondavels with Jacinta in a video by Nhlaka Production. Although emotional, she still laughed while describing her loss.

Floda says, “My clothes are gone, I only have clothes that I brought with me from Cape Town.” In response, Jacinta offers encouragement and acknowledges her strength.

Jacinta responds, “You’re still laughing, you’re strong.” Furthermore, Floda later thanked everyone for their support and donations.

She said, “I don’t know what to say, and I feel like a woman had a hand in this (referring to the food parcels initiative). Thank you so much. May God bless you guys,” she said.

Ngizwe recounts shocking fire incident

Meanwhile, Ngizwe Mchunu described how the fire started at his Umbumbulu home. He appeared visibly shaken in a video shared by Nhlaka Production.

At the time, he was in Johannesburg when he received alarming news. His wife’s sister called him about three men searching for him.

“I received a phone call from my wife’s sister, who told me that three men came looking for me. But shortly after they left, the family realised that there was a fire,” he said.

Moreover, he clarified that he has lived peacefully in Umbumbulu since 2014. He insisted he has no known enemies in the area.

“I moved in here in 2014, and my neighbours are not my enemies. And I don’t have enemies who would do something like this,” he added.
