A four-month-old girl miraculously survived a horrific bus accident near Limpopo that claimed 43 lives.
She is now being treated alongside 49 other survivors at hospitals including Siloam and Elim.

Four-Month-Old Baby Survives Deadly Bus Crash
According to the DailySun, the baby girl only sustained some scratches.
Authorities are still trying to determine if the baby’s parents survived the accident.
“We haven’t received that report yet,” said Tilivhali Muavha, spokesperson for the Limpopo Premier, highlighting the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the youngest victims
Crash Details and Rising Death Toll
The long-distance bus, traveling from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape to Harare, Zimbabwe, veered off the road and overturned, killing 43 people and injuring dozens, many critically.
Among the deceased were seven children, including a 10-month-old girl.
Most passengers were believed to be Zimbabwean nationals returning home. The provincial government confirmed that the process to identify the deceased will begin on Wednesday, 15 October.
Possible Causes and Official Response
South Africa’s Transport Minister Barbara Creecy cited overloading and speeding as potential factors contributing to the accident.
She emphasized cross-border cooperation in responding to the tragedy:
“We will be working, as the South African government, closely with our neighbours and assisting our neighbours on any matters that would require assistance. We’ve been briefed that the recovery process took the whole night and many of the victims had actually been thrown out of the bus as it went down the embankment and were found to be underneath the bus when they were removing it,” said Creecy.
Authorities from the three countries involved are coordinating efforts to recover and identify the victims.
Survivors Receive Care
The 49 survivors are receiving medical attention, with six classified as critical cases.
Medical teams continue to prioritize care while managing the emotional trauma of those involved.
