He’s not sick: Paul Tungwarara breaks silence on South Africa trip

Zimbabwean businessman Paul Tungwarara has addressed speculation surrounding his recent trip to South Africa.

Tungwarara confirmed that he is currently in South Africa for business engagements.

However, he quickly dismissed claims suggesting that he travelled there because of illness.

His comments came after speculation emerged about the reason behind his visit.

The businessman then took to social media to clarify the situation.

“Good morning Zimbabwe,” Tungwarara wrote.

“I’m enjoying my short visit to South Africa.”

He also used a Shona phrase to describe the purpose of his trip, that he is looking for money.

“Regai timbotsvage mari,” he added.

The phrase translates to a call to focus on making money or pursuing business.

Tungwarara says he was airlifted for business

Tungwarara then directly addressed claims that he had been taken to South Africa for medical treatment.

“Yes, I was airlifted to South Africa for my business errands, not because I’m sick!” he said.

His statement therefore sought to put the health rumours to rest.

Tungwarara did not provide further details about the business activities he is pursuing.

Nevertheless, he made it clear that his trip remains focused on business.

The businessman also criticised people who he believes spread false information about him.

Businessman urges people to focus on productive activities

Tungwarara encouraged people to spend their time on more productive pursuits.

“People should invest their precious time in productive activities rather than manufacturing falsehoods. 🤣” he said.

His light-hearted response also suggested that he was not taking the speculation too seriously.

Meanwhile, his update offers a direct explanation for his presence in South Africa.

Tungwarara has previously attracted public attention through his business activities and social media presence.

Consequently, his movements can generate considerable interest among Zimbabweans online.

For now, however, Tungwarara says his South African trip is strictly connected to business.

He also made it clear that claims about him being sick are false.

His latest update should therefore settle speculation surrounding the reason for his visit.
