Joburg Super Kings Sign Blessing Muzarabani For R500,000

Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has joined Joburg Super Kings after being bought for R500,000 at the SA20 player auction on Wednesday.

Muzarabani Adds Franchise Experience

The move will see Muzarabani make his first appearance in the SA20, adding another major franchise competition to his growing T20 résumé.

The Zimbabwe international has already played in several leading T20 leagues, including the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League and Bangladesh Premier League.

His experience across different franchise competitions will give the Super Kings another proven option with the ball as they prepare for the new campaign.

Super Kings Bolster Squad

Muzarabani joins a Joburg Super Kings squad that has also made several notable additions at the Season Five auction.

Muzarabani’s arrival adds further pace and international experience to an already well-stocked squad.

SA20 Season Five

The fifth edition of the Betway SA20 is scheduled to get underway on 17 January 2027.

Defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape are set to host Pretoria Capitals at St George’s Park in the opening match, while the tournament will conclude with the final at Newlands in Cape Town on 21 February.

Muzarabani will now have the opportunity to make his mark in the competition as the Super Kings look to challenge for the title.
