Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has revealed plans to strengthen his attacking options before the new season.
The French coach wants four additions to give Amakhosi more variety in the final third. His wishlist includes a striker, two wingers and an attacking midfielder.
Speaking about the club’s transfer plans, Da Cruz explained why new attacking profiles are essential.
“A striker, new wingers and an offensive midfielder. We have good profiles (already), but we asked management to get different profiles, so that we can play different football and be less predictable.”
The planned signings underline Chiefs’ determination to become more dynamic in attack. They also signal a shift towards a less predictable playing style.
Wandile Duba’s future remains a talking point
Meanwhile, questions continue to surround the future of young forward Wandile Duba.
The 22-year-old remains one of Chiefs’ most clinical finishers. He can operate as a central striker or on either wing, making him a valuable attacking option.
Although Duba managed three goals and two assists in 18 league appearances last season, his numbers tell only part of the story. He regularly produces spectacular strikes and often delivers in high-pressure matches.
As a result, his performances could attract attention from clubs in South Africa and abroad if interest continues to grow.
Chiefs welcome experienced Tanzanian midfielder
While searching for attacking reinforcements, Chiefs have already strengthened their midfield.
The club completed the signing of Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Tanzanian side Azam FC for an undisclosed fee.
According to the club’s official website:
“The 27-year-old defensive midfielder, who was captain at Azam, becomes the first player from Tanzania to join Amakhosi. His arrival adds to the impressive list of players from over 20 different African countries who have worn the famous Gold & Black jersey.
Mtasingwa brings valuable experience, having spent six seasons in Scandinavia, playing in the Icelandic, Norwegian and Finnish leagues. He returned home in 2024 to help Azam FC finish third in the Tanzanian league last season.
The Tanzanian international has filled the role of vice-captain for his national team.

The experienced midfielder arrives with leadership qualities and international experience. Chiefs hope he will strengthen the squad as Da Cruz continues building his team for the season ahead.
