Ndodana Tshuma Extradition Case Postponed To September
The extradition proceedings against Zimbabwean-British national Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma have been pushed to September.
The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court postponed the matter to 8 September after the State confirmed that its investigations had been completed and the required documentation from the United Kingdom had been received.
Tshuma is wanted in Britain over the murders of his wife, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, and their two daughters, Natalie and Nala.

UK Extradition Request Ready
According to The Citizen, the State told the court that there are no outstanding documents preventing the extradition application from proceeding.
The National Prosecuting Authority said the UK had supplied the documentation supporting its request for Tshuma to be returned to Britain.
The prosecution has also furnished the defence with the relevant papers, while the South African investigation has been finalised.
Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi previously confirmed that Tshuma would be extradited once the necessary paperwork had been completed.
Separate Firearm Case
Tshuma is also facing a separate South African case involving the alleged unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
That matter has also been postponed to September, with the court allowing the defence additional time to consult with him. The firearm case is scheduled to return on 10 September, two days after the extradition matter.
The prosecution said the ballistic report concerning the firearm and ammunition has been finalised.
Possible Plea Agreement
The firearm case could be resolved through a possible plea agreement between the State and Tshuma’s defence team.
According to the State, discussions are underway over the terms of a possible agreement. Tshuma’s lawyer indicated that further consultations are still required before the matter can be finalised.
Tshuma previously abandoned his bail application and has remained behind bars.
Arrest Followed UK Triple-Murder Allegations
Tshuma was arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg, on 10 July after South African authorities acted on a request from British authorities.
He had arrived in South Africa shortly after leaving the UK, where police later discovered the bodies of his wife and daughters at their home in Bedfordshire.
The UK authorities are seeking his extradition to face three murder allegations.
