Presidential Support for the Team
Earlier last week, President Mnangagwa approved US$400 000 from his office to support the Warriors’ preparations.
Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Lieutenant General (Rtd) Anselem Sanyatwe confirmed that the funds, drawn directly from the President’s office and not public coffers, are intended to cover logistical and welfare needs for the team.
“Let me proudly inform you that the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe injected a total of US$400 000 from his office, and not fiscus, for the welfare of our Warriors during AFCON,” he said.
