Zimbabwe international Jonah Fabisch has singled out Marvelous Nakamba as his favourite Warriors teammate.
The midfielder made the revelation during his first interview since joining South African Premiership club Golden Arrows.
Fabisch faced questions about the teammate he enjoys playing alongside most. He quickly highlighted Nakamba, who currently captains Zimbabwe.
“It’s tough to say but I enjoy playing with Marvelous Nakamba in the midfield,” Fabisch said.
The 25-year-old recently secured a fresh challenge in South Africa. He joined Golden Arrows after ending his spell with German third-tier side Erzgebirge Aue.
Fabisch highlights his Warriors experience
Fabisch has also enjoyed memorable moments while representing Zimbabwe internationally. However, one achievement stands above the rest for the new Arrows midfielder.
He named playing for the Warriors at the Africa Cup of Nations as his favourite football memory.
The midfielder featured in Zimbabwe’s squad for the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco. The Warriors entered Group B alongside Egypt, Angola and South Africa.
Nakamba partnership stands out
Fabisch’s comments highlight the influence Nakamba has had within Zimbabwe’s midfield.
The pair have shared the pitch for the Warriors during their international campaigns.
Now, Fabisch begins a new chapter with Golden Arrows. His move also gives him another opportunity to develop his game in the South African Premiership.
