Wicknell Chivayo Gifts ZANU PF Chief Whip Pupurai Togarepi New Toyota Fortuner, US$100K for Birthday
Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again made headlines after announcing a lavish birthday gift for ZANU PF Chief Whip Pupurai Togarepi, comprising a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 and US$100,000 in cash.
Chivayo revealed the surprise in a lengthy Facebook post in which he paid tribute to Togarepi, describing him as a close friend, brother and dedicated politician whose service to both Parliament and ZANU PF deserved recognition.

Birthday Tribute from Dubai
In his message, Chivayo wished Togarepi a happy belated birthday and apologised for missing the celebrations, saying he was on a business trip in Dubai and could not attend the birthday event held at Crowne Plaza.
He reflected on their shared roots in Gutu, saying Togarepi hails from the same area as his family, and spoke warmly of their longstanding relationship within ZANU PF.
Chivayo praised Togarepi’s leadership and commitment, saying he had served both the ruling party and the people of Zimbabwe with distinction through his role in Parliament.
Luxury Vehicle and Cash Gift
As part of the birthday celebrations, Chivayo instructed Togarepi to collect a fully paid-for 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 2.8, which he valued at US$82,000.
He also announced a cash gift of US$100,000, saying the money was intended to help Togarepi celebrate another milestone in his life.

In a light-hearted remark, Chivayo joked that while Togarepi may already own better vehicles, the new Fortuner could be used by family members for everyday errands.
