A worker was killed after a blasting accident at Blanket Mine. Caledonia Mining Corporation Plc, the international firm which operates the facility, has officially confirmed the death of a mine employee.
The tragedy unfolded on Monday, September 22, during secondary blasting procedures, a critical phase in the extraction process. The identity of the deceased worker is being withheld by the company pending notification of his next of kin.
