ZERA Reduces Diesel, Petrol Prices In Latest Fuel Review

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has lowered the maximum pump prices of diesel and blended petrol.

Under the latest review, diesel now costs US$2.04 per litre, while E20 petrol is pegged at US$2.05 per litre, representing slight decreases from the prices set in September.

New Fuel Prices Take Effect

According to ZERA’s latest price schedule, diesel is now capped at US$2.04 per litre, equivalent to ZiG54.55, while blended petrol costs US$2.05 per litre, or ZiG54.70.

The revised prices offer motorists some relief following increases announced during the previous review in September.

On 17 September, ZERA set the maximum price of diesel at US$2.08 per litre and petrol blend at US$2.06 per litre.

The latest adjustment reduces the diesel price by US$0.04 per litre and the petrol blend price by US$0.01 per litre.

Fuel Operators Reminded Of Pricing Rules

ZERA has also reminded fuel retailers that they may sell fuel below the prescribed maximum prices, depending on their trading advantages.

However, operators are required to display their prices prominently in accordance with fuel pricing regulations.

The new rates came into effect on 8 October 2026 and replace the prices announced in the previous review.
