ZIFA Warns Fans: No Ticket Sales At Stadium For Zimbabwe-DRC Clash
Football fans heading to the National Sports Stadium for Zimbabwe’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Democratic Republic of Congo have been urged to secure their tickets before arriving at the venue.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has confirmed that tickets will not be sold at the stadium for Monday evening’s Group E encounter, which kicks off at 6pm CAT.

Fans urged to buy tickets early
In a notice shared on its Facebook page, ZIFA advised supporters to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid being turned away at the National Sports Stadium.
“𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗪. 𝗡𝗢 𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠! 
No tickets will be sold at the National Sports Stadium for tomorrow’s Zimbabwe 
DRC clash,” ZIFA announced.
Tickets for the rest of the ground are priced at $10, while VIP tickets cost $50.
The association encouraged fans to turn up in numbers for the Warriors’ homecoming match as Zimbabwe looks to build on its impressive start to the qualifying campaign.
Catala targets another victory
Meanwhile, Warriors coach Ramon Catala is also refusing to be overawed by the quality of the opposition as Zimbabwe prepares to face a DRC side packed with players competing in top leagues.
Zimbabwe come into the match after producing a dramatic comeback against Sierra Leone last Thursday, recovering from a two-goal deficit to secure a 3-2 victory in their opening Group E fixture.
Catala believes that performance has given his players confidence, but he wants them to produce another strong display against the Leopards.
Warriors not intimidated by DRC
The Spanish coach acknowledged the strength of the Congolese side, particularly after their recent World Cup campaign, but said Zimbabwe should approach the contest believing they can compete.
“We have a very difficult match, and we respect Congo as a very good opponent. But we don’t believe ourselves to be a worse team than anyone. We want to win and get three more points to qualify for the Africa Cup,” said Catala.
He added that while DRC may boast players with experience in major leagues, the match itself would ultimately be decided on the field.
“We respect them as opponents. They have very good players that play in very good leagues, and they did very well at the World Cup. But that’s on paper,” he said.
“On the pitch, it’s 90 minutes. It’s 11 against 11. We will try to be as good as they are and we will try to face them for sure.”
With three points already secured from their opening fixture, the Warriors will be looking to maintain their winning start when they take on DRC at the National Sports Stadium.
