Guruve Pensioner Accused Of ‘Kuromba’ Rituals By Relatives After Buying New Truck Cleared By Serial Killer Anymore Zvitsva

A pensioner from Guruve, accused by his own family of performing ‘kuromba’ (ritual murder) to finance a new truck, has been dramatically cleared by the confession of serial killer Anymore Zvitsva. The shocking allegations against the retired man unfolded as his relatives could not understand his sudden purchase of a vehicle, coinciding with the disappearance of a young mother and her son.

A Grisly Discovery In The Hills

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, a solemn convoy wound through the difficult terrain of the Mavare area. Police officers carried serial killer Anymore Zvitsva on a stretcher as he directed them to the burial sites of Charity Karembera (24) and her three-year-old son, Tendai. The exhumation brought a horrific truth to light for the gathered villagers and mourning family members. The Herald reported the chilling scene, stating the body of Charity had been dismembered.

“Pathologists present, try to put the remains together in what I will call reconstruction, for lack of proper diction. Villagers and relatives wail and weep. Zvitsva is emotionless.”

Zvitsva reportedly showed a flicker of emotion only when the toddler’s grave was opened, allegedly stating,

“I felt pity for the child after I killed the mother and killed him, too.”

Relatives Point Fingers At New Truck Purchase

The tragedy began on March 24, 2025, when Charity and Tendai were reported missing. As the desperate search unfolded, a family member, Peter Chidhawu Karembera, became a central figure. He had recently retired and, using his pension, purchased a truck to start a business. The Herald detailed how this acquisition sparked malicious rumours within his own family.

“With his pension, Karembera buys a truck to start a new line of business and as soon as news spreads to the relatives, they started accusing him of killing Charity for rituals. They could not understand his sudden ability to buy a car.”

Despite actively leading search parties, often using the very truck in question, Peter Karembera faced silent accusations. He was suspected of performing ‘kuromba’ rituals to ensure the success of his new business venture.

Closure And A Family’s Mea Culpa

The arrest of Anymore Zvitsva and his subsequent confession on January 10, 2026, provided devastating but definitive answers. As Zvitsva led authorities to the graves, the truth absolved the wrongly accused pensioner. The Herald reported that the family’s long-held suspicions finally surfaced.

“But on Saturday when Zvitsva led police to Charity and Tendai’s shallow graves, family members confessed, they had always suspected it was poor Peter. On Saturday, Zvitsva brought closure and finality to the Karembera family.”

Zvitsva’s full motives and victim count remain unclear.
