Cyan Boujee Reveals Why She Is Taking a Break from DJing
DJ and media personality Cyan Boujee has surprised fans by announcing a temporary halt to her DJ bookings, revealing that her schedule is closed until October 2026.
The decision follows an intense festive season during which she was in high demand across multiple events.
Despite the pause, Cyan Boujee confirmed that she will still honour all bookings that were finalised before she closed her calendar.

Rebranding, Not Rumours
The announcement quickly sparked speculation on social media, with some users suggesting she might be pregnant or planning cosmetic surgery. However, Cyan Boujee dismissed the rumours, insisting the move is purely about repositioning her brand.
“Some are thinking I’m getting a BBL or fixing my body, but the main reason is I don’t want to be boxed in as a DJ,” she told TimesLIVE.
She said while DJing has defined much of her public image, it is not the only space she wants to occupy.
Eyeing New Creative Ventures
Cyan Boujee said she wants to expand beyond the decks and explore interests she has long held in fashion, makeup and entrepreneurship.
She explained that her career approach has always been unconventional, noting that she has often limited her DJ appearances to peak festive periods.
“I love fashion and I want to start businesses beyond being a DJ,” she said, adding that other DJs often juggle multiple ventures while performing year-round.
Keeping Future Plans Under Wraps
While fans are eager to know what comes next, Cyan Boujee said she is deliberately keeping her plans private. She explained that sharing too much in the past had left her feeling exposed.
“I shared a lot before. I don’t want to over-explain myself and end up regretting it,” she said.
For now, the star appears focused on reinvention, urging supporters to be patient as she prepares for her next chapter.
