NRZ Distances Itself From the Incident
In a statement posted to X, NRZ said it had nothing to do with the accident, explaining that the line where the crash happened is privately owned and not part of their operations.
“We have been inundated with inquiries concerning the collision of two trains in Gwanda today. We inform the nation that NRZ does not operate on that line as it is privately controlled. More so, the two trains are privately operated, therefore have no mandate to speak on behalf of the organisations involved,” NRZ said on its X handle.
While distancing itself, NRZ still took a moment to share its thoughts with those affected.
“However, we join the nation in wishing those injured a speedy recovery,” NRZ added.
