Repeat Attack: Dzivarasekwa Man Arrested After Robbing Same Victim Twice
A 28-year-old Dzivarasekwa man was arrested and is now facing two counts of armed robbery after targeting the same woman in separate incident.
The accused, Brian Chiteshi, is said to have carried out the attacks with his two brothers, who are still being sought by police.

Brothers Still at Large
Chiteshi is jointly charged alongside his siblings, Tafadzwa and Bright Chiteshi, who have not yet been arrested. Authorities say efforts are ongoing to track them down as investigations continue.
First Attack Involved Forced Entry
Prosecutors allege that the trio first struck in the early hours of February 16, breaking into the complainant’s home by forcing open a window using wooden logs.
During the incident, they reportedly stole two mobile phones and a laptop. They also attempted to drive away in the victim’s Honda Fit but fled after failing to start the vehicle.
Second Robbery More Successful
Just weeks later, on March 1, the suspects allegedly returned and carried out another robbery targeting the same victim, Yvonne Luisa Masaya.
This time, they reportedly made off with additional mobile phones, a Honda Fit vehicle, and an undisclosed amount of cash in US dollars.
Arrest and Recovery of Stolen Vehicle
Chiteshi’s arrest followed a tip-off received by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). After being apprehended, he is said to have implicated his brothers and assisted police in recovering the stolen Honda Fit, which had allegedly been sold to an unsuspecting third party.
Remanded in Custody
Chiteshi appeared in court on April 23 and was remanded in custody while awaiting further legal proceedings. Police say investigations are ongoing, particularly in efforts to apprehend his co-accused brothers.
