Coach Rambo Left With Broken Ribs and Punctured Lung After Motorbike Accident

Popular biker Coach Rambo, is recovering in hospital after suffering serious injuries in a road accident along the Harare-Bulawayo Highway.

Kazembe was injured on Saturday evening when his motorbike collided with a kombi while he was travelling from Norton towards Harare.

He is currently admitted at Avenues Clinic in Harare, where doctors are conducting further tests and assessments.

Biker community rushes to assist

According to people close to him, Coach Rambo suffered multiple injuries, including broken ribs, a punctured lung, chest pains and head injuries.

A colleague said medical examinations were still being carried out to determine the full extent of his injuries.

“He suffered broken ribs, his lungs were also punctured and he is complaining of some chest pains.

He also has some head injuries and there are scans that are being done,” a colleague revealed.

The biker community responded quickly after the crash, helping with his transfer from Norton Hospital before he was later moved to Belvedere Medical Centre and then Avenues Clinic.

Appeal for financial assistance

Those assisting Coach Rambo said funds are being raised to cover his medical care, with about US$8 700 needed for examinations and his initial hospital stay.

His supporters have also appealed for prayers as he continues receiving treatment.

A member of the biking community said the immediate focus was on supporting his recovery.

For the meantime, we are calling for more prayers more than anything else. He is admitted at Avenues Clinic and the scans are being done.”

The biker also revealed that Coach Rambo sustained a jaw injury which may require surgery.

Warnings against spreading false reports

Meanwhile, people close to Coach Rambo have urged the public to avoid sharing unverified information about his condition.

They said several claims circulating on social media were inaccurate and urged people to respect the family during the difficult period.

A colleague said accidents involving public figures should not be turned into opportunities for online attention.

We should know that these are real people and they have families and we can’t just post information that is sensitive when we know that we don’t have proper facts,” the colleague said.
