Sibusiso Zuma Backs Pitso Mosimane For Bafana Bafana Job
Former South Africa striker Sibusiso Zuma believes Pitso Mosimane has the qualities needed to lead Bafana Bafana into their next chapter.
Zuma has thrown his weight behind Mosimane as the South African Football Association (SAFA) reportedly moves closer to appointing a successor to Hugo Broos.
Zuma believes the experienced coach could bring a fresh approach to the national team while ensuring players are selected on merit.

Zuma wants Mosimane back
Mosimane previously coached Bafana between 2010 and 2012.
His first spell ended without delivering the success many had hoped for, but his reputation has grown considerably since then.
The coach went on to win the CAF Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly, establishing himself as one of Africa’s most decorated tacticians.
Zuma, who made 67 appearances for South Africa and scored 13 goals, believes Mosimane now deserves another opportunity with the national team.
“He [Pitso Mosimane] is not biased, and I know him as someone who is keen to reward players that are deserving, and that is what we need at the moment.
“There is no better time for him to take charge of the team. Of course, there are players who did not get recognised previously despite working hard and deserving it,” Zuma told FARPost.
Broos leaves big shoes to fill
The potential appointment comes after Broos brought his five-year tenure to an end.
The Belgian leaves Bafana following a historic 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
South Africa reached the knockout stages for the first time in their history, giving Broos a strong final chapter with the national side.
His tenure also helped restore confidence around the team and established a more competitive squad.
That success means Mosimane, if appointed, would inherit a side with high expectations.
