Senzo Mbatha has returned to South African sport after securing a new position with Tuks Sport.
The former Orlando Pirates administrator will now serve as Deputy Director in Sports Operations Management.
Tuks Sport confirmed Mbathaโs appointment on Thursday, marking another step in his varied sporting career.
His return follows several professional assignments across Africa. Those roles have given him valuable experience in football administration and sports management.
From Pirates to a wider African journey
Mbatha previously worked behind the scenes at Orlando Pirates between 2011 and 2013.
He succeeded Floyd Mbele as the clubโs administrative officer during that period.
However, his experience stretched beyond the Buccaneers and South African football.
Before joining Pirates, Mbatha contributed to preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
He later expanded his African football experience through roles with leading continental organisations and clubs.
In 2017, he briefly worked with the Confederation of African Football.
Mbatha subsequently joined Tanzanian giants Simba SC, where he spent two seasons as a football administrator.
His career also included work with Yanga SC, another prominent club from Tanzania.

A fresh challenge at Tuks Sport
Mbatha also gained experience within the Premier Soccer League structure.
At one stage, he worked as a project manager for the PSL.
That background now provides a strong foundation for his latest assignment at Tuks Sport.
His new position shifts his focus towards broader sports operations management.
Consequently, Mbatha brings experience from football clubs, international tournaments and continental sporting structures.
The appointment therefore represents more than a return to familiar territory.
Instead, it opens another chapter for a sports administrator who has built experience across multiple environments.
At 43, Mbatha now has an opportunity to apply that experience within the Tuks Sport setup.
