‘The Stories Are Not True’: Alick Macheso Breaks Silence On Claims He Blocked Wicknell Chivayo’s Car Donations For Band Members
Sungura star Alick Macheso has rejected claims that he stopped businessman Wicknell Chivayo from giving vehicles to members of his band.
The musician said the reports circulating on social media do not reflect what is happening within Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
According to H-Metro, Macheso said there had been no disagreement within his camp over Chivayo’s pledge.

Social Media Claims Sparked Speculation
The denial follows reports suggesting Macheso had concerns about Chivayo giving cars to some band members while others received nothing.
According to the reports, Alick is alleged to have stated that the car donations would create jealousy and tensions within the group.
Alick Macheso has, however, now firmly distanced himself from those claims.
He said the information being circulated was false and asked the public not to treat it as an official position from his camp.
“The stories circulating are not true. Please do not involve or associate our brand with information that is not true or that never came from us,” he said.
Macheso Says Toyota Aquas Are Still Coming
He explained that members were expecting the vehicles and had even been told when they could collect them.
The singer said the latest batch of Toyota Aquas was expected to arrive soon.
“There has never been such a discussion within our camp. We were actually told that the vehicles are on their way, and the latest ones were coming from Japan.
We were also assured that sometime next week we will go and collect the Aquas,” he said.
He urged people not to associate the Orchestra Mberikwazvo brand with claims that did not originate from the band.
Alick Macheso Thanks Chivayo For His Support
Despite the controversy, Alick Macheso expressed appreciation for Chivayo’s continued assistance.
The musician described the businessman as someone who had consistently supported his band and demonstrated a willingness to fulfil his commitments.
