Zimbabwe has introduced an electronic Visa (eVisa) on arrival system, making it easier for travelers from 118 countries, including India, to explore the African nation. This move aims to boost tourism and streamline entry procedures. The eVisa system allows eligible travelers to obtain their visas upon arrival at Zimbabwe’s international airports, eliminating the need for prior embassy visits.
To obtain an eVisa, travelers must complete an online application at least 72 hours before their intended journey. The application process is straightforward and can be finished in a few simple steps. Zimbabwe offers various visa types, including tourist visas valid for 90 days, business visas valid for 30 days, and visas on arrival that allow travelers to specify their stay duration upon arrival.
The eVisa costs range from USD$30.00 for a single-entry visa to USD$65.00 for the KAZA Univisa, which grants access to both Zimbabwe and Zambia. Travelers staying over 30 days or visiting for work or study purposes must obtain a visa through an embassy. Additionally, all travelers over 45 years old must obtain a visa, regardless of their stay duration or reason for visiting.
With its stunning natural beauty, rich culture, and exciting wildlife, Zimbabwe is an ideal destination for travelers. From the majestic Victoria Falls to the historic Great Zimbabwe ruins, there’s no shortage of attractions. The eVisa system is expected to increase tourism and contribute to Zimbabwe’s economic growth.
