Prophet Orasi Mellontik Says National Sports Stadium, Warren Hills Cemetery Sit On Gold Fields
Prophet Orasi Mellontik has sparked a buzz on social media after claiming that the National Sports Stadium in Harare sits above gold deposits buried about 15 metres beneath the surface.
The prophet also named Warren Hills Cemetery as another area he believes lies on gold fields, challenging geologists to disprove his claims.
Prophet Orasi Mellontik Makes Gold Claims
In his post, Prophet Mellontik wrote:
“Zimbabwe did you That the national sports stadium sits on top of unidentified gold fields 15 m below the surface,warren hills,cemetery are all gold fields,
Geologists survey prove me wrong.”
In a separate post, Prophet Mellontik described Zimbabwe as a mineral-rich country with the potential to sustain generations through its natural resources. He also praised the Second Republic for allowing mining activities, expressing optimism about the country’s future.
“Zimbabwe is a mineral rich country,minerals can sustain this country for generations, we thank the second republic that allowed mining.
Zimbabwe shall work again,” he wrote.
Social Media Users Weigh In On Gold Claims
Mellontik’s claims have drawn mixed reactions, with some social media users arguing that gold mining in parts of Harare is not new and pointing to alleged historical mining activities around the National Sports Stadium and the Museum area. Others claimed that old mine shafts still exist in some locations, including near where Liberation City is being built, while some suggested that Zimbabwe has gold deposits in many areas. Others challenged the prophet to go and mine the gold himself if he was certain of its location, questioning why he was sharing the information instead.
