Caroline Murinda, the iconic beauty queen who made history as one of the first black women to wear the Miss Zimbabwe crown, has died at the age of 65.

Murinda, who was crowned Miss Zimbabwe in 1982, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at a hospital in South Africa, where she had been living with her family.
