Kaizer Chiefs are clearing out players to create space for new midfield signings.
Their midfield will look very different next season. Three more Amakhosi midfielders are likely to leave Naturena.
They will join Mduduzi Mdantsane and Sabelo Radebe, who have already exited the club.
Kaizer Chiefs to release three more midfielders
George Matlou, Edson Castillo, and Tebogo Potsane are all expected to leave Naturena soon.
Matlou has been linked with a move away from Chiefs for several seasons.
An insider told KickOff that Sam and Matlou are both expected to depart this season.
Sam has not made a single competitive appearance for Chiefs.
Castillo and Potsane are also expected to leave due to limited game time.
They sit behind Yusuf Maart, Gaston Sirino, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Thabo Cele, Mfundo Vilakazi, and Samkelo Zwane.
These players are not part of Nasreddine Nabi’s long-term plans. Moving away will give them more regular playing time.
Chiefs have signed 11 new players for the first team.
This includes two European-based signings, four from PSL rivals, and five academy promotions.
They are also targeting players from Orlando Pirates, Sundowns, and Bafana Bafana.
So far, five players have left, and four more are expected to go.
