Comedian Mama Vee Faces Arrest After Skipping Court

Beloved comedian Admire Takudzwa Mushambi, known nationwide as Mama Vee, is in hot soup after a Harare magistrate signed for his immediate arrest. The star witness failed to present himself at the Harare Magistrates Court for a crucial hearing related to the massive E-Creator Ponzi scheme scandal, prompting judicial authorities to take decisive action.

The court had expected his testimony in a case that had left a trail of financial devastation, with alleged losses soaring beyond US$300,000.

Regional Magistrate Mr Francis Mapfumo did not mince his words in his response to the absence. He stated,

“The court will not tolerate the disregard of its processes. A warrant of arrest has been issued for the witness to ensure he answers the call of justice.”

This legal move transforms the popular content creator from a key witness into a wanted individual, sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry and amongst his legion of fans.

The court proceedings, however, were not entirely without testimony. Fellow social media sensation Tarisai Cleopatra Munetsiva, widely recognised as Madam Boss, took the stand and delivered revelations that further entwined Mama Vee in the scandal.

Madam Boss confirmed to the courtroom that her involvement with the controversial scheme began directly with the absent comedian.

She elaborated on their professional relationship, telling the court,

“Mama Vee was the one who introduced me to the people behind E-Creator. They approached me to create an advertisement for them on my Facebook page, and I was paid for that service.”

This admission places Mama Vee at the very heart of the scheme’s promotional efforts, using his influence to connect the alleged fraudsters with other high-profile personalities.

Madam Boss’ Witness Statement

Madam Boss’s testimony further detailed how a simple business transaction spiralled into a personal investment. After completing the promotional work, she decided to buy into the scheme herself. She revealed,

“After making the advert, I then decided to join and invested my own US$100.”

The whereabouts of Mama Vee remain unknown, with authorities now tasked with locating the comedian to bring him before the court.
