Zimsec 2025 Advanced A-Level Examination Results Out Friday
The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has confirmed that the 2025 Advanced Level examination results will be released on Friday at midday, bringing anticipation to thousands of candidates, parents and schools across the country. The announcement was made on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
The confirmation comes as learners who sat for the 2025 Advanced Level examinations await outcomes that will shape university admissions, scholarships and career paths. Education authorities say the release follows a smooth examination cycle, completed without reported leakages.
Official confirmation of release date
The confirmation was made public in a statement from the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerayi Moyo, on January 8, 2026.
Introducing his remarks, the minister said he was formally advising the nation of the release timetable.
“I am pleased to announce that the 2025 Advanced Level Examination Results will be officially announced by ZIMSEC tomorrow at 12 noon,” the minister said.
He highlighted that the 2025 examinations mark the third consecutive year in which national examinations were conducted and concluded without any leaks.
“This marks the third consecutive year in which our national examinations have been conducted and concluded without any leakages,” Moyo said.
“This is a remarkable achievement that underscores the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of our examination systems.”
Focus on examination integrity
The minister attributed the smooth running of the examinations to reforms introduced within the education sector, including tighter monitoring and enhanced security systems.
“It is the direct outcome of deliberate reforms, enhanced monitoring systems, and robust security protocols that we have implemented,” he said.
He added that these measures were aligned with national development priorities.
“These reforms are in alignment with His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, which rightly places quality education at the heart of our national development agenda,” Moyo said.
ZIMSEC has, in recent years, faced scrutiny over examination leakages and delayed results. Authorities say the recent track record signals progress.
Appreciation for educators and stakeholders
The minister also paid tribute to educators and institutions involved in the examination process.
“I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC), our committed educators, and all stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to ensure a transparent, fair, and efficient examination process,” he said.
He concluded with a call for continued collaboration within the education sector.
“Let us continue to nurture an education system that is inclusive, accountable, and responsive to the aspirations of our great nation,” Moyo said.
“Together, we will continue to build a Zimbabwe where every learner is empowered to thrive.”
ZIMSEC candidates are expected to access their results through official council platforms once the release goes live at 12 noon on Friday. Schools have also been advised to follow standard procedures for result dissemination as communicated by ZIMSEC.
