Zimbabwe has retained its five percent economic growth projection for 2026. The Government says it will continue supporting stability and economic development.
Officials also highlighted plans to improve the investment environment. Furthermore, authorities aim to maintain steady growth through stronger economic policies.
Government highlights positive first-half performance
Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube announced the forecast during the 2026 Mid-Term Budget and Economic Review.
He delivered the statement at the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden on Thursday.
Ncube said Zimbabwe’s economy performed strongly during the first half of the year. Therefore, he believes the country has built a strong platform for further expansion.
The Government will now focus on sustaining momentum throughout the remaining months of 2026. It also plans to protect macroeconomic stability while encouraging investment.
