Marshall Munetsi’s hopes of joining Nottingham Forest have suffered a fresh setback. The club has made major changes to its coaching team.
Nottingham Forest confirmed Vítor Pereira’s departure after activating a mutual break clause. His coaching staff also left the club.
Filipe Almeida, Luis Miguel, Bruno Moura, Marco Knoop and Pedro Lopes all departed alongside Pereira.
Previously, Pereira reportedly wanted to reunite with Munetsi. The pair worked together at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Consequently, the Zimbabwe midfielder emerged as a key transfer target.
New Manager Could Review Transfer Plans
However, Pereira’s exit has changed the situation. Forest will now move in a different direction.
Former Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is expected to sign a three-year contract. Once appointed, he will likely evaluate the current squad first.
After that, Glasner will decide whether Munetsi still fits his plans. Therefore, Forest’s interest could continue or fade.
For now, Munetsi’s proposed switch remains uncertain. Much now depends on Glasner’s transfer strategy.
