UK Police Hunt for Zimbabwean Man Who Killed His Wife and Daughters

British-Zimbabwean Father Flees UK After Wife And Daughters Found Slain In Million-Pound Mansion

A British-Zimbabwean businessman is on the run after his wife and two young daughters were found brutally murdered in their Bedfordshire mansion, with police revealing the suspect fled the UK for Zimbabwe just two days before the bodies were discovered.

Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, who also goes by the name Mark, is believed to have boarded a flight from Heathrow Airport to Zimbabwe on Saturday, July 4, leaving behind the bodies of his family in a scene that has shocked the quiet community of Great Denham.

The 45-year-old, a British citizen of Zimbabwean heritage, is now the subject of an international manhunt as Bedfordshire Police work with global agencies to track him down.

The Tragic Discovery

Police forced entry into a large detached house in Carnoustie Drive on Monday after concerns were raised that the family had not been seen for several days . Inside, officers made the grisly discovery of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, known as Zandile, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five. A murder investigation was launched by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.

“Mark, unthinkable harm has been caused to those around you, and this has left your relatives and friends utterly devastated,” said Detective Inspector Lee Martin.

“Criminal investigation knows no borders. We are actively working with national and international agencies to pursue every available line of inquiry to track you down. Please do the right thing, come forward and hand yourself in to local authorities” .

Suspect’s Business Empire

According to Companies House records, Tshuma owns and runs a property business called Nexus Trove Holdings from his address in Great Denham. The firm, where he is sole director, had over £1 million in assets at the end of 2024 and made a £48,277 (approximately R1,116,500) profit that year.

The property, which was bought for £1,270,000 (approximately R29,354,000) in May 2024, boasts a swimming pool, four bedrooms, and four bathrooms . A neighbour described the family as “decent” and “quite well to do,” noting they had a five-series BMW .

Community In Shock

Tributes have poured in for the victims, with one woman laying flowers outside the house describing Zandile as “such a gracious mother” . Nala’s school, Pilgrims Pre Prep in Bedford, called her “a much-loved member of our school community who brought joy to those around her every day” . Bedford councillor Jim Weir described the incident as “nothing but horrific” .

Tshuma is now believed to be in Zimbabwe, but the African country does not appear on a list of the UK’s extradition treaty partners, potentially complicating the international manhunt . Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue their investigation.
