A man and a woman have been arrested after Zimbabwean police allegedly discovered 10 kilogrammes of dagga concealed inside washing powder boxes during a bus interception in Hwange.
The suspects were identified as Never Shoko, 41, and Blessing Ndlovu, 38.
Hwange Bus Intercepted
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the arrests happened on Saturday, 15 August 2026, when detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics in Bulawayo intercepted a bus at Hwange bus terminus.
Police said the dagga had been hidden inside washing powder boxes.
The ZRP announced the arrests on Monday, 17 August.
“Detectives from CID Drugs & Narcotics, Bulawayo intercepted a bus at Hwange bus terminus and arrested Never Shoko (41) and Blessing Ndlovu (38) in connection with unlawful possession of 10 kilogrammes of dagga.”
The statement did not provide details about where the dagga allegedly came from or its intended destination.
Two Arrested Over Dagga
Shoko and Ndlovu are facing allegations of unlawful possession of dagga following the seizure.
The latest arrests come amid ongoing police operations targeting the possession and movement of illicit drugs in Zimbabwe.
