Wicknell Chivayo Rewards ‘Todya Mudododo’ Hitmaker With Brand-New Toyota Fortuner

Wicknell Chivayo has rewarded musician Taruvinga Manjokota, popularly known as Sugar Sugar, with a brand-new Toyota Fortuner after his song “Todya Mudododo” became a favourite in the Chivayo household.

Chivayo revealed the gesture on Facebook, saying watching his children dance to the popular track had inspired him to show his appreciation to the musician.

Sugar Sugar Gets Toyota Fortuner And US$10,000

According to Chivayo, Manjokota will collect a fully paid-for 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD-6 from Madzibaba Chipaga at Enterprise Car Sales next Wednesday.

The businessman also promised the musician US$10,000 in cash for fuel alongside the vehicle.

“MUKOMA SUGAR SUGAR, please go and see MADZIBABA CHIPAGA at ENTERPRISE CAR SALES next week Wednesday and collect your BRAND-NEW 2026 TOYOTA FORTUNER 2.4 GD-6, fully paid for and ready for collection. You will also receive US$10,000 CASH FOR FUEL.”

Chivayo described the reward as his personal way of thanking Manjokota for creating music that has entertained his family.

‘Todya Mudododo’ Wins Over Chivayo’s Children

Chivayo said the song has become particularly popular with his children, revealing that his son sometimes wakes him up early to ask for the track to be played.

He said the family often ends up dancing and laughing together after playing the song.

For Chivayo, the children’s reaction demonstrated the reach of creative work and how music can connect with different generations.

He praised Manjokota for producing what he described as a “masterpiece”, saying the song had gone beyond simply entertaining adults because children had also embraced it.

“Watching this video of MY KIDS DANCING AND ENJOYING “TODYA MUDODODO” genuinely touched my heart. What makes it even more special is that my son sometimes wakes me up early in the morning saying, “Daddy, I miss playing the song…dododo…Daddy please let’s play it !” And before I know it, the song is playing, we are all dancing, laughing and enjoying ourselves as a family,” he said.

The businessman also credited “Todya Mudododo” with helping him unwind when he is having a difficult day.

Chivayo said listening to the song changes his mood and restores his energy, sometimes leaving him ready to get back to work.

He encouraged Manjokota to continue making music and entertaining Zimbabweans, describing the Fortuner and fuel money as a thank-you for the joy the song has brought to his family.
