Petrolheads have since given Thuli Phongolo’s latest acquisition a nod. Undoubtedly, the Lamborghini Urus is one of the most preferred SUVs by celebrities as it offers top speed and luxury.
With her recent purchase, she joins a host of South African celebrities who have splurged thousands, if not millions, on the most sought-after SUV.
South African influencer, entrepreneur, and founder of Hermosa Flor Cosmetics Gorgeous Mbali—real name Mbali Sebapu—also owns a sleek Lamborghini Urus.
Earlier this year, Gorgeous Mbali’s Lamborghini Urus made headlines after it was involved in a freak accident in Soshanguve.
However, little is known about how much Thuli Phongolo paid for the car, but the publication has since connected the dots about the car’s base price tag against the trends.
At several dealerships nationwide, the base price of a Lamborghini Urus is R6 million. However, prices might differ depending on the trims.
However, besides the shared photos and cryptic captions, Thuli Phongolo has yet to confirm her recent purchase openly.
The purchase comes barely eight months after she showed off a sleek Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon worth R4.2 million.
With Thami Ndlala and Lerato Kganyago out of the picture of this year’s valentines, DJ Maphorisa stepped up and served Mzansi with some content.
The muso gifted Thuli Phongolo a G-Wagon, and the actress seemingly confirmed the news with her cryptic Valentine’s Day post.
She shared photos posing next to the German beast and captioned them, “Things men like One is priceless, one is a gift you can buy her! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY, bo love.”
Surprisingly, despite being one of the most followed South African stars, Thuli Phongolo has managed to keep her private life under wraps, leaving many to guess.
Little is known about her other cars despite being spotted with some of the world’s coveted cars.
This year, Thuli Phongolo dragged DJ Maphorisa to the courts for abuse. However, the case was later settled after she reportedly withdrew the charges.
However, DJ Maphorisa reportedly repossessed two of the flashiest cars he had bought for the actress during his bail.
While out on bail, a source claimed that DJ Maphorisa requested that his friend fetch his Mercedes G-Wagon and Porsche, which he had bought for the actress.
“To respect the court and bail conditions, Maphorisa chose to send someone to repossess those cars,” said the source.
