Sugar Sugar Says Wicknell Chivayo Died Before Ownership Of His Gifted Fortuner Was Transferred
Sungura musician Taruvinga Manjokota, popularly known as Sugar Sugar, has revealed that he does not have the registration book for the Toyota Fortuner gifted to him by the late businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
The Mudododo hitmaker said Chivayo died before the vehicle’s ownership could be transferred into his name, leaving him without the necessary documentation for the car.

Sugar Sugar Does Not Know Where Registration Book Is
Speaking to ZBC, Sugar Sugar disclosed that he does not even know where the Fortuner’s registration book is, describing his situation as driving a vehicle without proper documentation.
“I don’t even have the car’s registration book, and I don’t know where it is. I’m driving around in a car with no proper documentation. Sir Wicknell died before ownership of the vehicle could be transferred.”
His remarks highlight the unresolved administrative issues surrounding the vehicle following Chivayo’s death.
Chivayo’s Vehicle Gifts Under Scrutiny
Sugar Sugar’s disclosure comes amid questions about vehicles gifted by Chivayo, whose high-profile giveaways to musicians and other beneficiaries attracted considerable public attention.
The businessman’s death has raised questions about the status of some of the vehicles, particularly where ownership transfers and documentation had not been completed.
Sugar Sugar’s account indicates that the transfer of his Fortuner had not been finalised before Chivayo died. However, he did not explain where the registration book might be or what steps, if any, had been taken to obtain it.
The vehicle’s documentation remains a key issue as questions surrounding Chivayo’s gifts and estate continue to emerge.
