The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) advises beneficiaries who haven’t received their May payments to visit their nearest SASSA branch promptly. A new verification initiative may require particular recipients to update their personal information in the system.

Alternative identification methods were used instead of standard 13-digit IDs
Personal circumstances have changed
Additional income sources weren’t previously declared

“We’re implementing this validation procedure to enhance system security and ensure accurate beneficiary identification,” explained SASSA representative Paseka Letsatsi.
