Uncertain Future for Warner Bros Channels on DStv
In a notice to subscribers, MultiChoice reassured viewers that while discussions are ongoing, no final deal has yet been concluded. The company stressed that customer experience remains a top priority.
“While discussions between the parties continue, no agreement has been reached at this stage. If this remains unchanged, a number of Warner Bros. Discovery channels may no longer be available on DStv from 1 January 2026,” the notice read.
Commitment to Alternative Content
MultiChoice said it is preparing to strengthen its entertainment offerings for 2026, promising alternative channels and content across sports, news, lifestyle, kids, and documentaries.
Subscribers were advised that the company remains committed to delivering “a rich, diverse, and enjoyable viewing experience.”
The company also encouraged customers with queries to contact its customer care team or visit its website.
Deadline Approaching
The deadline for finalising the distribution agreement is 31 December 2025, leaving just over a month for MultiChoice and Warner Bros. Discovery to resolve the deal before the potential removal of key channels.
