The Buccaneers currently sit top of the league table. Ten matches remain before the season concludes.
Pirates lead rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on goal difference. Their 2-0 win over Richards Bay strengthened their title hopes.
The club has won eight trophies in six years. However, Pirates have not won the league in more than a decade.
Ouaddou Promises Relentless Fight for the Title
Speaking after the Richards Bay match, coach Ouaddou addressed supporters confidently. He insisted the team will fight until the final whistle this season.
“Everyone is dreaming to be champions, and we are fighting with one team to be champions,” he told SuperSport.
“It is a passion in the PSL and we are going to fight until the last minute. I can promise that we are going to die on the pitch and to believe until the last second.”
His message shows strong determination from the Pirates camp. Moreover, the team remains fully focused on the title race.
Coach Warns of Tough Siwelele Test
Next, Pirates face Siwelele in another crucial league clash. However, the coach refuses to underestimate the opponent.
He previously said every remaining match will feel like a final.
“Difficult game again, difficult game, I can tell you that for me the most consistent teams that we faced this season it was Richards Bay and Siwelele so another tough game,” Ouaddou said.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan coach could make history this season. He already secured the MTN8 and Carling Knockout trophies.
Now Pirates must win the Betway Premiership to complete a historic treble.
