Two Brothers Beat Each Other To Death After Satanism Accusation Sparks Deadly Fight Over Funeral Policy Pamphlet

A dispute over a funeral policy pamphlet ended in tragedy after two brothers allegedly turned on each other during a violent confrontation in Nyamandlovu, Matabeleland North. The brothers later died following the altercation, which police say was triggered by accusations of Satanism linked to the pamphlet.

The incident occurred on 6 June 2026 and is now under police investigation.

Satanism Accusation Sparks Violent Clash

According to Zimlive, Police said one of the brothers had received a pamphlet containing information about joining a funeral policy scheme.

However, the document allegedly became the source of a heated disagreement when the other brother accused him of intending to join Satanism.

As tempers flared, the confrontation reportedly became physical.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said one of the brothers allegedly struck the other several times on the head with a log.

Commissioner Nyathi said:

“Investigations into the circumstances surrounding both deaths are underway.”

Authorities have not released the identities or ages of the two men.

Brothers Found Dead A Day Later

Police said the brother who suffered head injuries was later assisted by a friend who offered him shelter after the fight.

However, tragedy unfolded the following day when he was found dead.

In a further shocking development, the second brother was also discovered dead on the same date.

According to police, he was found lying under a tree with bruises all over his body.

Investigators are still working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding both deaths and whether additional factors may have contributed to the tragedy.

At this stage, police have not disclosed further details regarding the sequence of events that led to the second brother’s death.

Police Urge Peaceful Resolution Of Disputes

Following the incident, police urged members of the public to avoid resorting to violence during disagreements.

Commissioner Nyathi appealed for communities to resolve conflicts peacefully and seek dialogue whenever disputes arise.

The deaths have left residents stunned, with investigators continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

Police say more information may be released once investigations have been completed.

The incident serves as a reminder of how quickly disagreements can escalate, with what allegedly began as an argument over a funeral policy pamphlet ending in the loss of two lives.
