Chitungwiza Nurse Stabbed to Death by Brother After Row Over Cigarette
A family disagreement over a cigarette has ended in tragedy after a 32-year-old nurse was stabbed to death by his younger brother in Chitungwiza.
Tatenda Mupanduki, who worked at Chivhu Hospital, was reportedly killed during a confrontation with his 26-year-old brother, Simbarashe.
Simbarashe, a security guard, has since been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing.

Dispute Erupts Over Cigarette
The incident reportedly began after Tatenda bought a cigarette for their father, Pangani Mupanduki, 57.
According to the father, the decision angered Simbarashe, who questioned why Tatenda had bought one for their father but not for him.
The brothers were reportedly drinking beer together before the disagreement escalated.
Pangani said the argument became personal when Simbarashe allegedly questioned whether Tatenda loved their father more than him.
The younger brother then reportedly demanded the return of his cellphone from Tatenda.
Knife Threat Fails to End Fight
Pangani said Simbarashe went into the kitchen, picked up a knife and threatened to stab his brother.
A sister reportedly attempted to intervene but could not stop the confrontation.
Simbarashe then went to his bedroom, with Tatenda following him.
The court heard that Tatenda slapped his brother several times during the confrontation.
Their father managed to separate them, and the situation appeared to calm down temporarily.
The brothers later moved into the dining room.
Second Knife Attack Turns Fatal
According to Pangani, the situation quickly deteriorated again when Simbarashe allegedly returned to the kitchen and picked up another knife.
He reportedly charged at Tatenda and stabbed him once in the back, near the lower part of his right shoulder blade.
The family rushed Tatenda to Chitungwiza Hospital, where he was studying midwifery.
However, the medical staff reportedly pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Police subsequently arrested Simbarashe over the fatal stabbing.
Nurse Remembered After Tragic Death
Tatenda was employed as a nurse at Chivhu Hospital and had been furthering his studies in midwifery at Chitungwiza General Hospital.
His death has left the family mourning after what began as an apparently minor disagreement escalated into a fatal confrontation between two brothers.
