Vulnerability Analysis & Mapping (VAM) Officer

The World Food Programme (WFP) is hiring a Vulnerability Analysis & Mapping (VAM) Officer (NOB) to join its Zimbabwe Country Office in Harare. This is an exciting opportunity to support food security and nutrition strategies by contributing to WFP’s evidence base in the fight against hunger.

About the Role

As a VAM Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in:

  • Designing and implementing food security and vulnerability assessments

  • Supporting emergency response, programme design, and targeting

  • Coordinating data collection, monitoring, and analysis

  • Strengthening the capacity of WFP, partners, and government stakeholders

  • Producing actionable reports to inform strategic decision-making

Who Should Apply?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Economics, Food Security, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health/Nutrition, or Geography

  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience in food security, M&E, or related fields

  • Proficiency in statistical tools and data analysis techniques

  • Experience in food security mapping, needs assessments, and team coordination

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required
