“It was the first time I’ve seen Carlos play live and also the first time I’ve seen Felix play live,” Kolisi told ATPTour.com.

He added that he actually travelled to the tournament because he and Auger-Aliassime had been talking on social media and had arranged to meet.

Kolisi praised both players but admitted Alcaraz was “very powerful today.”
