Zimbabwean-born prospect Camron Mpofu has reached another important milestone in his football journey.
Manchester United awarded the 16-year-old a first-year scholarship for the 2026/27 season.
The Premier League club unveiled its latest academy intake on Tuesday.
Mpofu joins 14 other youngsters selected for the new scholarship programme.
The exciting forward arrived from Reading FC in 2024.
Since then, he has impressed coaches with consistent performances and rapid development.
As a result, he has emerged as one of the academy’s most exciting young prospects.
The scholarship strengthens his pathway toward a professional contract when he becomes eligible.

Manchester United’s latest scholarship group features several highly regarded youngsters.
Among them is Kai Rooney, son of former United striker Wayne Rooney.
Jacey Carrick also joins the intake.
He is the son of former Manchester United captain Michael Carrick.
The club continues investing in talented youngsters through its respected academy system.
Mpofu remains eligible to represent Zimbabwe
Mpofu was born in England to a Zimbabwean father and a Scottish mother.
He has already represented Scotland at youth level.
However, the talented attacker can still play for Zimbabwe through his father’s heritage.
That eligibility could eventually place him on Zimbabwe’s senior national team radar.
