Zimbabwean multimillionaire Sir Wicknell Chivayo has gifted a brand-new, top-of-the-range Toyota Land Cruiser to the revered African Apostolic Church leader, Mutumwa Paul Mwazha. The luxurious vehicle, with an estimated value of US$190,000 (approximately R3.5 million), was presented in honour of the clergyman’s 107th birthday. The extravagant gift was accompanied by a cash present of US$107,000 (approximately R2 million), a symbolic amount for each year of the leader’s life.
Chivayo himself announced the celebration in a heartfelt social media post, where he expressed his profound respect for the centenarian spiritual guide. He wrote,
“It is my deepest honour and greatest privilege to join the Nation and millions across Africa and beyond, in celebrating the 107th birthday of the Founder and Leader of the African Apostolic Church, Mutumwa Paul Mamvura Mwazha.” He further elaborated on the significance of the occasion, stating, “Throughout his extraordinary life, Mutumwa Mwazha has made immeasurable contributions to the spiritual and social well-being of Zimbabwe.”

The gifts for the esteemed church leader came on the heels of what Chivayo described as a deeply fulfilling weekend of generosity. Just days earlier, the flamboyant businessman had embarked on a massive vehicle-buying spree, acquiring cars for 15 individuals.
The beneficiaries included thirteen Madzibaba and his own beloved mother figure, whom he refers to as Sarapavana. The total expenditure for this initial act of giving was reported to be over US$800,000 (approximately R14.8 million), with Sarapavana herself receiving a Land Cruiser valued at US$180,000 (approximately R3.3 million).
Detailing the specific arrangements for Mutumwa Mwazha’s gift, Chivayo provided clear instructions in his post. He directed,
“Please kindly send your next of kin or church elders to go to Exquisite Car Dealership on Monday morning with registration instructions so that Victor can personally come and deliver your wonderful birthday present.”
