Tournament to Start as Scheduled

Midweek and Weekend Fixtures Shifted

The introduction of night matches has resulted in adjustments to the midweek and weekend schedule. Games set for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday have been moved to 13:45 and 18:30, allowing for the new evening sessions.

The shift is expected to give supporters the opportunity to attend matches after work, increasing stadium turnout and creating a vibrant cricket atmosphere.

World Cup Preparations Influence Early Start

Originally planned for January, the Domestic T20 Competition has been brought forward to give national team hopefuls more playing time ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

With squad selection approaching, Zimbabwe Cricket says the earlier start ensures players are battle-ready.

Other Domestic Competitions Postponed

In light of the revised T20 schedule, fixtures for the Logan Cup and Pro50 Championship, set for 9–14 December, have been postponed.

Zimbabwe Cricket will announce new dates in due course.
